frank romanelli acoustic
A fresh new voice in Acoustic Alternative rock Frank's sound is original and fresh and his lyrics touch the hearts of all people of all ages in a gentle but me
I began doing solo gigs full time in the summer of 1999. I didn't write much before that when I was in a band or when I first started soloing, but the writing started happening after about a year, then the gig started to change.

Story behind the song
I was trying to decide whether or not to move to LA. I was flying back to Providence after a visit. It was a night flight. I could see the big dipper in front of me to the east most or the way and the glow of dawn in the northeast horizon. I wanted to see a shooting star and thought about where I would look to find one if I were home at Scarborough Beach in Narragansett RI. It all made sense and I wrote the song. I headed back to LA that January.
Lyrics
Every shooting star I've ever seen Has been in the southwestern sky Every wish I've ever whispered Has made me wonder why So this time when I saw the light Falling from the dome I followed its blazing trail And it led me home Where I'm heading lies behind me As I return to where I've been But heaven always sits above me No matter where I land When I looked around I didn't know What my heart was searching for I watched the stars fall from my window Then saw a world outside my door See the stars all burning And lighting up the way But the one that's falling Is leading me today *Where I'm heading lies behind me As I return to where I've been But heaven always sits above me No matter where I land As long as heaven sits above me Home is where I'll land
