Story behind the song
The idea that everyone is trying to "fit in", too often at the expense of being who they really are. The realization that every one of us is ultimately alone and at the end of the day, there is NO guarantee that anyone will stay with us. What if we compromise what we really want to do in this life.... and the person we compromise for, leaves us anyway? So, the only answer is to live "Just For Me". Do the right thing because it IS the right thing to do. Live honorably because it makes ME sleep better at night... not to win approval.
