A clip of “Frail,” with Aimee Camp on lead vocals and Josh Brahm on all instruments. We added guitar and keyboard solos along with the synths from the original song. We took creative license with this one.

They are being made into a CD right now, and the Jars of Clay band itslef will get a copy, as will a lot of Jars fans. If you like Jars of Clay already, you're going to get a kick out of hearing these different versions. Some of them are true covers, and some are comletely rearranged with added instruments, solos, and song arrangements. If you've never heard of Jars of Clay, you can still enjoy this music, because the original songs are very good. You may want to look into the real Jars of Clay music, as it's also very good. Josh

Story behind the song
After I was first approached to record my 2 songs, I knew right away that this would be a harder song to do. There is a lot of synth work in the original that I hadn’t done before, and techniques I hadn’t really gotten into yet. I knew right away I couldn’t truly copy the Jars synths, because even the Korg doesn’t have all the sounds they use in that song! So we decided that this one would be our own version. When I first started thinking about how to arrange this song, I watched the DVD of Dave Matthews Band’s “Listener Supported” concert. Almost every time they start the song “All along the watchtower” the bass player always goes off an a long, un accompanied solo in that key that introduces the song. It’s really cool, and I thought it would sound cool for this song. So I got out my guitar and after about an hour, I had a decent solo for the beginning. If I had had more time I could’ve done better, but it sounds pretty cool, and opens the song up really well. For the clip version, you won’t hear that yet, as you’ll hear the last half of the song. I used a strings pad, as well as a motion synth to copy some of the feeling Jars of Clay gets in the original version of “Frail.” But afterwards, I added a keyboard solo and guitar solo in place of the synths. I hope you enjoy listening.
