I play mostly alone but also play with bands we form for special concerts
Since I retired in 1996 I took up writing, playing and recording music as a hobby. I play piano, guitar, bass, drums, harmonica and tenor sax reasonably well but not great. I enjoy all genres of music.

Story behind the song
I love Ontario Canada, the diversity of the people and scenery has been a significant influence in my music
Lyrics
Ontario, my Ontario, where Trilliums bloom in springtime, Maples flame in fall. Ontario, my Ontario, where the Group of Seven paint, while Glenn Gould plays us Bach. Niagara Falls cascades into the Great Lakes With their beaches white, The water's clear for swimming, boating Fish and deer in sight. Chorus And our hearts are always open Cheerful smiles upon our faces show. We love you, we sing to you, we play in Ontario, where friendships grow Ontario, our home. Ontario, my Ontario, where Trilliums bloom in springtime, Maples flame in fall. Ontario, my Ontario, where Aurora Borealis glows While wolves they call. The Bruce Trail becons hikers And the bears eat the berries wild Blue Mountain calls the skiiers Blue Birds fly across the sky. chorus Ontario, my Ontario, where Trilliums bloom in springtime, Maples flame in fall. Ontario, my Ontario, where the fields Of corn grow golden, children they grow tall. The mines in the north, The steel mills in the south Make the province grow. Toronto's CN Tower is our beacon Ottawa the throne. chorus
