Story behind the song
Hello Sir is about two ghosts. The first ghost runs into a man who has recently been turned into a ghost. The first ghost is surprised to find that the second ghost was once a loved one. Being ghosts, although they might have shared a great love, they exchange frivolities and well wishes, lament on grieving relatives, then be on their way, because the first ghost was dead long enough to lose all human sentiment. Too bad, so sad…goodbye!
Lyrics
hello sir by duvy Hello sir Nice to meet you I’d like to extend my apologies For leaving abruptly I was foolish and I was young It’s so good to see you How long has it been? (I’ll just be on my way now) You’re looking well I’ll just be on my way then (I’ll just be on my way now) Good day sir How are you feeling now? I’d like to extend my condolences For your loss It was reeling And it was wrong It’s so good to see you (I’ll just be on my way now) How long has it been? (I’ll just be on my way now) You’re looking well I’ll just be on my way then Goodbye sir I am leaving I hope all remains well For your loved ones They are feeling down And lost in hell It’s so good to see you How long has it been? You’re looking well (I’ll just be on my way now) I’ll just be on my way then
