I'm here on top of the mountain
looking out across this land
I can see the bridge and river
the scene is calm from where I stand
as the sun sets in the evening
many colours near the shore
I never realized all the beauty
the Restigouche at my front door
it's way up north, traveled back and forth
several times caught in bad weather
was worth the trip, tried not to slip
it brought you and I together
the many visits to this town
greeted by so many smiles
reminds me of the place I long
I'll stay here for awhile
let's take in all the scenery
making memories by the bay
prepare to head back to your work
and return another day
as we drive through the night
to see those pretty lights
up on top of the hill
the site gives me a chill
