Story behind the song
I read a book. Only one. That book spoke of ancient shaman, channelers, spiritual gurus to their tribes; Incans, Mayans, Aztecs, Celtics, Swahili, Priests, etc. The diatribe was all the same. Based on pain, destruction and death. I thought, "how tragic." These leaders fed their people superstitions based on fear. According to this book there was no love in the balance of their spiritual accounting whereas it's my observation that God Himself is love. I mean, consider the positives; the aesthetic beauty of creation, life itself, lactos free ice cream. So what if this tribe leader was self-aware and knew he was really a fraud and that inner voice in our heart that tells us good and evil led him to a true conviction and accounting of himself and his con-artistry and thru the meandering darkness in dark ages he searched for and found God. I believed this has happened and will happen in a ka-zillion forms and God accepts that amount of faith. That we are accountable equal to the light we are shewn or shown or shone upon us. So this is that impression in a song. It didn't come out the way I intended but I stuck it out for 3 days.

The Lyrics: There once was a man of renown In his circle Many came to him in search of what they would not find He lived many years ago And he’s here today And he knows That he is alive (or a lie) I am the keeper of the sacred shrine I am the sear for the ancient tribe I feel a lifetime of light shining down on me I look to long ago and awaken from my sleep I am the deceiver of the lost and blind I am the traitor of all mankind I feel the lifeblood drain away from me I listen to the curses in my ears What is the reason I live and I breathe? Who is the power that makes me see? On a hill, in the clouds, in the rife, under stars, beneath the tartar sky I hear you’ll find away for me. In the sea. In the low. In the ground. Beneath a worried mind. I hear you found a way for me. And God’s the reason I live and I breathe. And that’s the power that makes me “me”. And so dear children if you ever find yourself led astray And you don’t know why that is. But you know what time it is Because you feel it in your heart. You may hear voices tremble and shake. Mountains tear down. The trees fall suddenly. But always remember: God is near by. ||: It’s so, it’s so, it’s so, it’s so, it’s so, it’s so, it’s so, :||
