Original rock and roll music
Anchored in Ojai California (pronounced: O-hi), a small valley community 70 miles north of Los Angeles, Myridian formed in 2003 and is comprised of five members: Kalvin Keller - Vocals, Rich Metcalfe - Guitars, Bud McCanless - Bass, Dayna Canada - Keyboards, Patrick Duffy - Drums. (Guest performance by Mark "Halvy" Halverson on congas and harmonica) They have strived to produce quality original music from their inception - each member contributing in some manner to the evolution of their music. Influenced by but not imitating the bands heard in the prime of FM radio (The Beatles, The Eagles, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, etc.). Their music is original and distinctly unique from the current crop of commercial radio programming. They play rock & roll because it is in their heart and soul. Contact: myridian@adelphia.net

Lyrics
When the lightning strikes You Can hear the thunder When the bullets fall like rain Theres no shelter to hide under Lots of faceless names With increasing toe-tag numbers The children have gone off to war When they step outside their own front door Fight for the right Walk those streets at night Take another breath How the air wreaks of death Gunshots in the city Red skies at night Gunshots in the city War zone on the boulevard Gunshots in the city No its not a pretty sight You just draw the curtains Lock your doors up tight Close your tired eyes And dream of clear suburban skies When the lightning strikes You Can hear the thunder When the bullets fall like rain Theres no shelter to hide under Educate the children Free them from their plight Open up their sleepy eyes Hear the sound of angry cries Gunshots in the city Gunshots in the city Gunshots in the city
