I am a singer/songwriter in English and Spanish. I write mostly hymns in a fairly conservative style, but with enough melody and rhythm to hopefully be interesting.

Story behind the song
Videos about the Protestant Reformation. But I also considered heroes from the Bible and from times since the Reformation of the 16th and 17th centuries.
Lyrics
Chorus: Many heroes have lived and may heroes have died, Telling others of Jesus, with Him close by their side, Facing loneliness and danger, facing misery and fear, Jesus hears their every prayer and Jesus sees every tear. 1. Many prophets have spoken at the risk of their lives, As the Sword of the Spirit brought them anger and strife. For the rulers and the elders did not want to be disturbed, With reproaches and commandments, though they came from the Lord. (Chorus) 2. Some may say it is new, and some may say it is old, The straight preaching that comes from the reformers so bold. "They are shaking the foundation," say the ones who were asleep, Many angry for the errors that they wanted to keep. (Chorus) 3. Do you know where you come from? Have you studies the past? Do you know why your fathers into dungeons were cast? For distributing the Bible, many men of God were burned. Now, with Bibles all around you, how much truth have you learned? 4. Tell me, what are your trials? Or do they seem too small, To be mentioned beside those who have given their all? Since the Greatest of the Heroes was hung up upon a cross, How can we complain of trouble? How can we speak of loss? (Chorus)
