Hey everyone. I am a freelance woodwind player and teacher, and I mainly focus on bari and alto sax, but I am a proficient doubler on all saxes, clarinets, and flutes. I also play piano, guitar, bass, trumpet, trombone, cello and drums... I've always loved to play as many instruments as I could get my hands on, even if it was just for fun! I recently spent a year on the road with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, it was a great gig and I met alot of fantastic musicians and got to see the world. Since getting married and having a child, my giging time has been sacrificed tremendously, but I am a regular with several big bands in the Cleveland and Youngstown Ohio areas, as well as a salsa band named "Sabor Latino". I also sub in a variety of settings as a capable soloist/section player/reader/doubler. My friend and I have just recently started a new band, we are called "Groove Synergy". It's a 2 man band featuring all types of music genres and instrumentations.

Story behind the song
After this recording, I realized that I loved playing alto as much as bari. For the previous 4 years, I didnt really dig playing alto, but around the time of this concert I started listening to Dick Oatts alot on alto(who is the baddest alto player in the world, IMHO). His playing inspired me to start finding my jazz alto voice, and this concert was the first one where I really liked my alto sound. So, since this day, I've considered myself and alto & bari player... kinda boring I know, but a personal breakthrough!
