Story behind the song
Warscrolls (or to some , The Dead Sea Scrolls) Tells about future events and certain things that some religions deny to be true. I wrote this when attending college in early 2004 when I took some classes in theology and prophecy. It's a subject I often refer back to and this is one song that expresses my different attitudes and emotions towards this idea. Musically, I wanted my lyrics to complement the variety of riffs that Joel and Lance had offered.
Lyrics
" ...Earth crushed by the hands of a bitter God..." "... We shall all gladly burn in His fire..."
