Lyrics
Unfolding the child There stands the dark silhouette . . perhaps one could forget its death. . if one's eyes could not see the phantom that stood peering out from its endless festering hood A child stands. . always in the rain. He now walks slowly . . down a crumbling sidewalk, plain with decay Shallow eyes haunting with tears. . He 'walks' away. . believing he has no fears Trying so hard to believe. . he is cold in the rain, in the snow, always walking in the cold. . when there beats a heart. . only fifteen years old. Trailing just after, the grim figure strolls a gaunt smile placed upon its dismal skull. A strip of metal catches the boy by the shoulder turning around he stares boldly at the horror. . and warmly smiles. . "You are my friend good sir, please walk with me, and talk with me for just a little longer." A sinister echo drifts down from the hood ~Why won't you stop?~ The scythe is lifted off the boys shoulder, and he rubs away the pain Trying to forget about the horror the boy continues down the rain. . walking, passing, ever moving. . like the seasons the boy is ever coming and going So calmly, a pattern ever flowing But inside, a hurricane still continues growing So much chaos inside the boys mind . . . it makes his eyes water Just behind him once again he imagines the clapperclawing laughter from the being that has only one terrible thing to offer . . but. Then comes down the scythe onto his shoulder Again . . the boy speaks unto the horror " . . You are my friend. . good sir. Please walk with me. . and . . talk with me. . for just a little longer." The boy is replied by a sinister echo drifting down from the hood ~Why won't you stop?~ The scythe stays . . and lays . . across the boys heart To the boy. . it is like his past. . the thing that prevents a clean start. A puff of air escapes from cold lips. . as the boy faces the grim eclipse. turning and staring at the horror! A demon who only makes the pain sorer! " . . .You are supposed to be my friend!" The festering hood weaves with a thick misty fog And an angry sinister voice creeps from Death!. . A tone held off for far too long! ~Why. . can't . . you stop?!~ The scythe is lifted from the boys shoulder and once again he turns away from the horror. . beginning to walk in the cold Suddenly he feels a pull. . though death is to far away to catch him. . . . . A line of red slowly dribbles down the boys chest. . flailing his arm over his wound, the boy glares and detests ~Why . . can't you stop?~ An echo. . a voice, invades the boys mind. . "I. . -" ~I can stop it . . for you. . ~ " . . . ." the echo . . the voice. . haunted with just one choice. The boy turns and looks up to the haunting figure letting go of his shoulder he lets the blood slither. . ~I can stop it. .~ The scythe before him flashes with red. . thirsty. . wanting this boy to lay down his head Dread is but a memory. . all there is . . is cold The boy has lived so much for only being 15 years old. . through these fifteen years. . it were his fears that made him bold It was death. . staring him in the eyes that took away his soul ". . . . do it. ." The scythe gleams with a crimson light Every one of the child's sins shining bright The scythe steals away the boy's life. . and makes right all the things the lies couldn't. . Should or shouldn't. . it was his choice . . now not his own The boy lies dying. . but not alone. now . .in the middle. . between life and death He notices that there isn't pain when he's slipping away He has the choice to take another breath He has the choice to open his eyes. . just one crack but. . .he doesn't. It just hurts to come back. . Sir Dismal
