Story behind the song
Steve came up with a riff, Pat chimed in with some cool improved lead guitar. This was during a jam session. We liked what we heard, so we made a song out of it. Steve wrote the lyrics. Yeah, he can't sing, and the lyrics are incredibly stupid (as intended), but the music behind him is pretty cool.
Lyrics
Carrots, not the best And peas taste like death Onions bring a tear And peppers burn with fear (chorus) Vegetables! (over and over) (back to verse) Corn, sweet a touch But broccoli, not so much Tomatos are a fruit And yams don't go in soup (chorus) On potatos I'm rather keen Good with bacon and sour cream The best vegetable Potatos rule the world (chorus)
