Folk/Country music and an excellent backup group.
Me (Jimmy Morgan): I have been playing guitar and singing since I was nine years old. My inspiration to play guitar and sing as a child was my family. The great support and love from my family has inspired me to write songs that come from the heart. My current CD "Jimmy Morgan, Life - Beginning to End" reflects my love for my wife, of twenty-one years, Thurma; my four children Jason, Jennifer, Kevin, and Emily; and my Mother, Lyla. Joel Martin: My friend and former neighbor, now has a house with a serious recording studio. Joel has been playing music for almost 34 years, he started taking piano lessons when he was six. He has studied music in college, and is proficient at many instruments. His forte is composing and arranging. Jason Stark: A dear friend of the family and an excellent volcalist, musician, and songwriter. Plays guitar, harmonica, brass horns, chello, and keyboard. He can play just about anything he picks-up. Elle Clark: Another friend with a beautiful voice. Elle is also a Musician and Songwriter. I'm so glad to have her as a part of the band.

Story behind the song
This song is dedicated to my brother Tommy and my cousin Cheryl who both lost their bodies to cancer, but it did not take their spirit. Through their faith in Jesus Chirst, they did overcome.
Lyrics
Phone call: Hello Hi Son Hey Mom, what's up. Well What's wrong Your brother is in the hospital with cancer. Oh no, Tommy's got cancer too? We're still praying for Cheryl. Cherly's doing better. So what do the doctor says? They have to do surgery and chemo. Are they doing the surgery after the chemo? Surgery then the chemo. All we can do is pray Mom. We're all praying. Tommy will be OK. I know he will. VERSE 1 Unwanted invasion, no time to prepare. One day all is fine, the next day it was there. What you want to hear is just what they will say. The only real hope will come, will come if you pray. CHORUS 1 To overcome, they say youll overcome. Youre not the only one, to overcome. Soul searching, pain aching. Overwhelming, desperation. Disappointing, expectations. Mind numbing, medication. Fighting back with dedication. Chemo sick and radiation. Racing thoughts and meditation. VERSE 2 Unwanted invasion, full of despair. Each day seems deeper, deeper than the past. What they are saying, it seems that they care. But the only real hope will come, will come in a prayer. CHORUS 2 To overcome, you know youll overcome. Cause youre not the only one, to overcome. Heart aching, pain staking. Violating, infestation. Sharp probing, penetration. Deep wounds, convalescing. Moderation, non-existent. Medication, coalescing. Excessive, inoculation. VERSE 3 Unwanted invasion, now its all clear. Each day seems brighter, much brighter than before. What they are saying, it all seems unreal. The hopes of the prayer have all been fulfilled. CHORUS 3 To overcome, yes to overcome. Not the only one, to overcome. Soul searching, dedication. Overwhelming, expectation. Spirit lifting, revelation. Heart warming, gratification. Non-existent, desperation. Calming thoughts, meditation. Divine touch, jubilation. To overcome, yes to overcome. Not the only one, to overcome.
