K-Gi has been writing for over 30 years. He resides in Canada. He has been encouraged and urged by friends and fellow musicians to share his creations. Hence, a debut album! 'If It Were Not So...I Would Have Told You!' speaks to all music lovers of various genres. A Journey from sandy beaches to salmon-filled rivers; from uplifting parties to candle-light dinners. Love Ballads, jazzy Latin guitar instrumentals, classical themes, R&B and Rap, African dance and drum music, Pop, Rock and Reggae. A diversity of genres is also reflected in K-Gi's lyrics, which paint a wide array of different pictures. From excursions in 'Paradise' to bouncy fun-filled party scenes, from social critical issues to father-daughter relationships. At present K-Gi is working on his second album, which will include several Reggae and crossover songs. He has recently written a Cumbia instrumental for a documentary about travelling a long forgotten pole-post road in Mexico. K-Gi also works with a well known dancer in France and provides the music for her African Dance show and dance classes. He feels that a good marriage between words and music (prosody) can if only briefly, uplift the human spirit and give it wings to fly. Yet, as important as music is to him, he envisions it as ‘just a slice of bread on the table of life’. Though somewhat of an introvert, K-Gi’s altruistic nature immediately surfaces when engaged in lively discussions. He asserts that no one will truly be safe, well-off and at peace until we ALL are! He believes that we are all connected to each other whether we know it or not; like it or not. In particular, he mentions how quickly we forget where we have come from once we become successful; forget what it is like to be hungry once we are full; or what it means to be cold while we are warm. However, once we are loved we never forget. It is therefore incumbent upon us all to do all that we can to spread love, peace, joy and compassionand to contribute towards the reduction of tragedies and sorrows globally. It is K-Gi’s ambition that music will afford him the opportunity to make a differenceno matter how small. Drop by drop is the bucket filled. Though many are called, few are chosen. “If it were not so he would have told you!” K-Gi Kage

2 SMALL HANDS Copyright 2004 Words and Music: K-Gi Scarlett All Rights Reserved E-mail: k_gi_music@yahoo.com 1. With 2 Small Hands you came into this world You smiled at me. “Oh! Say! That’s my baby girl”! A special bond we formed on that fateful day Neither time nor distance cannot take away. 2. In 2 short years “Oh! My! How you have grown!” To be the dearest one that I’ve ever known I am humbled ‘cause I know I’m truly blessed This is real and I feel ready for the test. 3. Survival’s lead me places that’s so remote And you must often feel like a mere footnote Am I a fraud, a farce, a thoughtless pantomime When with you I cannot spend some time. CHORUS 2 Small Hands won’t always stay that way Mother Nature will not wait for me to pray. 4. Your 2 Small Hands my eyes have hardly seen A few more months you’ll soon turn sweet sixteen Now the winds of life’s misfortune’s too much to bear Knowing I have failed you and am never near. CHORUS 2 Small Hands may some day wave goodbye Mother Nature has no need for tears that I cry. 5. From 2 Small Hands incarnate into this world A bright young woman no more baby girl And from the ashes spawning a new circumstance It’s my prayer some day I’ll have a second chance. REFRAIN 2 Small Hands won’t ever stay Small Hands forever 2 Small Hands won’t ever stay Small Hands forever 2 Small Hands won’t ever stay Small Hands forever 2 Small Hands won’t ever stay Small Hands forever I bet you don’t know that I know that you know Oh! Oh! Oh! La la la lah… Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!
