Knowledge aka Luis Medina was born in Miami,Florida, August 6th,1984. Raised everywhere from Houston, Atlanta, Tampa and now back in the 954,Miramar, Florida.He said "This is home." His father loved to move around from city to city.Knowledge, who was formally known as Remesis, is hungry and ready with his debut album "On the Come up" produced by Soul Theory, which will be dropping soon. Knowledge has always been a street battler, whether it was in the school hallways, or competitions,parties, or maybe on the corner of the block. Whatever the case was,Knowledge always came out on top and was known to be an MC that you shouldn't even try to go against. Struggling though school and bangin at the same time is really what made knowledge feel he had to express all his love and hate through his rhymes. From not getting along with his father, to getting arrested, and rolling around with the Bloods, He stopped to realize that all the brawls, all the dope pushin, all the guns, wasn't worth going to jail for, or even dying over. But he felt that rappin and gettin his voice heard around the world was. Everyone around him knew and would often tell Knowledge that he has the talent to make it, and make it far. From staying up late nights writing rhymes, or not paying attention in class and just writing lyrics, he is on the verge to go literally from rags to riches. Knowledge says " yo im 21, i don't go to school, i got my diploma, but honestly all i know is hip hop, and i love what i do and i ain't gonna stop doing it for NOONE!". Growing up was hard for knowledge. His mother is from Colombia, Bogota and his father from Lima, Peru. Because of his nationality background and skin color, he went through a lot of racism, which resulted in why he went through so many brawls and why he hang out with a gang in the first place. At home it was just him and his little sister, whom is 3 years younger than him. He always felt he set a bad example for her, because he's the oldest. Now he says he wants to give back to his family, especially his mother. He says "Man my mom was ALWAYS there when I needed her, and when I THOUGHT I didn't need her, she was still there.I don't know where I would be without her." Knowledge felt his battling wasn't going to get him anywhere. He often did tracks with Vain, Logistic, Wyla, Soul theory,Young C, and whoever else was serious about music. The light started shining on Knowledge when Soul theory agreed to help Knowledge put his first album together. The cd is in the making as of now, but will most definately drop by late January or early Febuary. The cd is Hot track after Hot track. Along with Hot beat after Hot beat from Soul Theory. Something for the books. Knowledge hopes this cd will be his way to give back to his people and show the world that hip hop isn't just about riding on 24's and grills. It will feature Soul Theory, Young C and singer Joshua Robinson. "On the come up" will be the beginning of a new era.......
