Story behind the song
Originally it started with my son Shane and I jamming on that 3 chord progression. I was fooling around singing some nonsense lyrics...I don't want a mango. Then something clicked and I thought I should complete this with a youth worship setting in mind. The song speaks to the truth that man does not live by bread alone (the fruit), nor finds satisfaction with material things (the diamond ring). Living by the fruit(s) of the spirit is what will truly bring happiness and meaning into our lives.
