Original Music in Popular Styles Written from a Christian Perspective
Did you know that Carter is the 42nd most popular last name in the U.S.? Or that Robert is the 3rd most popular 1st name?!?!?!?!? Well I asure you that if you are looking for a guy that loves Jesus, writes music to worship and glorify the Father Son and Holy Spirit AND writes...4th and 5th grade band music...? I'M your man!!! These days I have mostly been doing occassional solo gigs as I court the lovely and talented Mindy Schott (my girlfriend of 6 months.) I do orriginal contemporary worship and pop rock orriginals from a Christian perspective. There's just enough humor, sincerity, and vulnerability to keep the audience attentive as I share my Christian experience in an attempt to meet people where they are and bring them closer to God. With the band, we do a lot of "secular" rock covers with a Christ centered focus. That way, people are bound to hear the songs again and have the seed watered.

Story behind the song
I was teaching a drum lesson and a student (Julien Gziezynsky) asked if he could bring in his Matchbox 20 CD so they could find the beat to it. I asked what it was called. He said "I'll Tell You Monday". I said "is it really called that?" He said "Called what?" I said "I'll Tell You Monday!" He said "No, I'll tell you Monday what it's called". I said "If it's not called that, can I have that title?" "Have what?" "I'll Tell You Monday?". "Whatever!" He was very confused, but I was inspired. The Lord made it really make sence with a question that had been bugging me.
Lyrics
I¡¦ll Tell You Monday (12 Years) „¦ 2000 Rob Carter Chorus I It¡¦s been 12 years since I first met You and you want to know somethin¡¦ strange? In all that Time I don¡¦t know if I¡¥ve changed! Sure I¡¦ve been to college And taken me a wife. But have I really let you change my life? Verse I I¡¦ve listened to and written You your rock and roll the entirety of that time. I¡¦ve sung with and have been one of your ¡§holy rollers¡¨ and I fit in there just fine. And I¡¦ve learned all the social graces that you learn in Sunday school. But when I¡¦m with the ones I love I¡¦m a fool (to Chorus I) Verse II Been livin¡¦ with a given that on Sunday mornin¡¦ you can know where I will be. ¡§I¡¦ll tell you Monday¡¨ if the day before had any effect on me! And I¡¦m so tired of goin¡¦ through the motions when I only wanna be like You! Any obstacle tells me if it¡¦s true. (to Chorus I then Bridge) Bridge A wise man once said to me ¡§If you¡¦re asking these kinds of questions¡K Then may I be so bold as to offer to you this suggestion¡K The simple fact that you are insinuating wanting more¡K That is more than enough to open the door!¡¨ Chorus II It¡¦s been twelve years that I¡¦ve walked with You and I¡¦m findin¡¦ it kind of weird¡K To see these things You¡¦ve used to change me over the years¡K Four long years of college! And every day my wife! You¡¦re changin¡¦ me every day of my life! Make me more like You! (na, na, na, etc.)
