Original Music in Popular Styles Written from a Christian Perspective
Did you know that Carter is the 42nd most popular last name in the U.S.? Or that Robert is the 3rd most popular 1st name?!?!?!?!? Well I asure you that if you are looking for a guy that loves Jesus, writes music to worship and glorify the Father Son and Holy Spirit AND writes...4th and 5th grade band music...? I'M your man!!! These days I have mostly been doing occassional solo gigs as I court the lovely and talented Mindy Schott (my girlfriend of 6 months.) I do orriginal contemporary worship and pop rock orriginals from a Christian perspective. There's just enough humor, sincerity, and vulnerability to keep the audience attentive as I share my Christian experience in an attempt to meet people where they are and bring them closer to God. With the band, we do a lot of "secular" rock covers with a Christ centered focus. That way, people are bound to hear the songs again and have the seed watered.

Story behind the song
We had the pleasure of meating Rich the day after we came back from our honeymoon in '95. Within a couple years he was gone. He was an incredible songs writer. I waited a while to write a tribute to him as I didn't want it to seem like I was trying to capitalize on his tragic passing. I miss him, as anyone else who loved his music surely does.
Lyrics
WE¡¦LL JOIN YOU (REMEMBERING RICH MULLINS) „¶ 1997 Rob Carter Winds of heaven blew at the hour of your birth. Spent a little time getting aquainted with the stuff upon this earth. Pictures in the sky spoke to you of something more. You would spend your life sharing he goodness and the beauty of the Lord. Now you see that beauty face to face. CHORUS You have heard your final liturgy You have shared a holy legacy With this band of ragamuffins you have left behind Along with a world you don¡¦t remember very well. You have found your way unto that place Where that awesome God of which you say Is embracing you and saying ¡§precious child, well done¡¨ As much as we¡¦d like to have you back we know it¡¦s true When the Father says ¡§it¡¦s time¡¨¡KWe¡¦ll join you. As your brothers keeper you loved us all so well. I cannot express how you encouraged me with the stories you would tell. Never picture perfect, this world in which we roam. That is why we need to keep our eyes upon our great eternal home. Now your sojourn¡¦s over and you are there! (to chorus, then bridge) BRIDGE I am guessing you had grown just as young as you would grow. So the Father simply reached out his hand and said ¡§My child, it¡¦s time to go¡¨ (to chorus)
