Punk rock riot DIY alternative indie noise anarcho pop from portugal. we want to help destroy musical business, not feeding the Mob!
we're VIOLENCIA VIOLETA (VIOLENT VIOLET) and we grow in the sewers of europe, some people call it portugal.... We started mainly by the fusion of two bands (Mr. Ed Figadus & Bruce lose) with the same problem... there was no drummer... so João (who was in both bands playing guitar/bass) jumped to the drums and joined Mourinho(mr. ed figadus) on guitar and Luis(bass) and started playing... we also got now João on the second guitar, and ocasionaly Inês on recycled keyboards with distortion... we all sing! This is mainly a politically active band with socially aware lyrics and attitude! we're into punk rock riot, because it's basically the only "STILE" that fits in what we do! we don't pretend to sound like any other punk band, we got a huge diversity in musical tastes, and we're going to mix it all into what we do!... we do it ourselves... just like punk should have allways done!

Story behind the song
a song about the revolution in portugal, where just after 30 years, everything become the same! the fascists who run away, are back in power, and they've learned well the lesson, so it's even harder to take them out of control... we live in a pseudo liberty, a rotative dictatorship, a big lie where we're all stucked into! and every year people go out to the streets and shout "25 of april" and they think they're free, while riot police takes care of theire lives and secret service informations take data about some less happy citizens... just like before the pseudo revolution!
