Hi, my name is Kathy. I'm a Christian singer/songwriter and guitar player. My style is typically folk-rock. Please have a listen and share your comments.
It seems that music has always been an integral part of my life. One of my brothers was a drummer who played in several rock and roll bands while I was growing up, so I got an early start with my music education. This experience gave me a personal desire to learn how to play the guitar and write songs.

Story behind the song
One thing I've noticed about human nature is the tendency we have to admire certain traits in people such as beauty, education, sophistication, eloquence, talent, etc. Celebrity status seems to be a coveted role, even among Christians. As I reflected upon this, I began to wonder if we would be attracted to the person and character of Jesus if he came to us today. He came as a servant. How many servants do you admire? (John 13:2-5, Phillipians 2:5-8)
Lyrics
ON HIS KNEES VERSE 1: Would we recognize Him if He came to us today? riding hum-b-ly upon a donkey Would we bow before Him, or just turn and walk away? blind because He wore the robes of poverty CHORUS: O-pen our eyes, help us see Beyond our own darkness O-pen our eyes, help us see Jesus as He is! BRIDGE: He was born in a stable And died between two thieves The hungry ate at His table He served them on His knees- ON HIS KNEES! VERSE 2: Would we recognize Him if He came to us today? a man of sorrows with no form of majesty Would we bow before Him, or just turn and walk away? blind because our hearts love only vanity CHORUS: O-pen our eyes, help us see Beyond our own darkness O-pen our eyes help us see Jesus as He is! BRIDGE: He left His throne in heaven took on the form of a man shed His own blood for our pardon from death He rose again- HE ROSE AGAIN!
