...JimNdave... songwriting and recording Long-time friends and mutually-minded music guys Tom Chiles and Dana Hamilton combine their talents as The JimNdave Project. When you listen you’ll find songs that are Country, Pop, Progressive, Jazzy, R&B, Experimental and Ambient. Every instrument is played by this multi-talented, multi-instrumental duo. Together and separately Tom and Dana have written, arranged, engineered, produced and/or performed on hundreds of corporate and independent sessions. The pair is comfortable writing and performing in a variety of genres. Dana Hamilton’s influences of Dave Gilmour, Duane Allman, Ry Cooder, Neil Young, Allman Brothers blend beautifully with Tom Chiles’ influences of Steely Dan, The Doobie Brothers, Alan Parsons, The Guess Who and Gino Vannelli to create a totally new sound that is varied, interesting, melodic and last but not least, the duo’s music has repeat listen-ability. Tom and Dana had been jamming together for ten years before they put their first song to paper. One song turned into several and soon they were working in recording studios and television and had publishing contracts in Canada and Nashville. As well as great music, The JimNdave Project does Audio Mastering, Mixing and ReMixing, Custom songwriting, Soundtrack, Video presentations, Animation, and More... Lyrics
Break Away Take your breath of innocence No comfort No name Hectic pace to leave a trace Touch and feel define what's real Senses overload making me Find a style that fits awhile And move on To something someone else Said is going on Break Away and make a way To not account of anything All judgement all blame Anticipate one's own fate What's concealed and what's revealed Too many mysteries to deceive And all the mysteries to believe Break Away and shake away The experience of the past and present Some judgement some comfort someway Hear to stay who can say Sometimes you kneel To find what's real So many mysteries to believe Too many mysteries to deceive
