metal heavy death viking cancer asatru engvikson
Artist picture
Viking Metal from Telfjord, England.
Asatru is a one man Viking Metal project. It was started in 2249RE (1999CE), originally with Steve Kelly (Hostile) on Bass & Mark Brawn on Drums. But after a lack of a live Keyboard player, the band is now a Recording only project. Hopefully if all goes to plan, with more interest in the band, a Keyboard player will come along, and Asatru will once again be a Live Unit.

Lyrics
Standing at the prow of my dragonship It's the dawn of a day A day we sail south to a foreign land And I'm leading the way Silently carving through the seas We raise up our oars The wind in our sails will guide us To these foreign shores Our lookout sights a monastery On the shores up ahead Surrounded by Christian monks Who'll soon be dead Pagan warriors jumping Into shallow sea Charging up the barren beach All following me Monks screaming all around Their monastery burning to the ground As we drowned their bodies in the sea so grey Where was their god this day? An expression of pain on a monks face As I plunge in my sword In his final desperate scream He cries for his lord Their home now burns around them In the dusk of the day Their land now plundered and bloodied As we sail away Monks screaming all around Their monastery burning to the ground As we drowned their bodies in the sea so grey Where was their god this day?
