Story behind the song
God began giving me melodies while I was reading Scriptures. The very morning I asked in prayer what to do with the songs, he gave me "Consider Your Ways."
I learned he wanted me to share the songs with worship leaders and others to build the Christian church.
Lyrics
Consider Your Ways
(from Haggai 1)
1. Consider your ways,
2. Consider your ways,
1. You have sown much,
2. You looked for much,
1. you bring in little,
2. it came to little,
1. you eat, and have not enough,
2. what you brought home, I blew on,
1. you drink, and are not filled,
2. Because of my house in waste.
1. you’re clothed, but you’re not warm,
2. the earth is stayed from fruit,
1. you earn wages to put in a bag with holes.
2. And I called for a drought upon the land.
REFRAIN
Consider your ways, says the Lord,
Go to the mountain and bring wood,
build the house,
I will take pleasure in it,
and I will be glorified.
