Former Elektra/Asylum solo artist James Sinclair has left a two decade trail of sophisticated pop music in his wake. The singer/songwriter degreed at the New England Conservatory of Music before embarking on a career that included major label deals, L.A. session gigs and tons of studio production. This is James' first album since the Elektra days and is a true labor of love. Self-produced over a three year period and featuring some of L.A.'s finest sidemen, you'll hear a rare level of maturity that relates to the music of Steely Dan, Sting and Al Jarreau. If you appreciate jazz influences, classic rock and great vocals, this one's for you!

Lyrics
They said that everything would be ok They said the problems would just go away We listened to the nightly news soundbites They tucked us in and they waved goodnight They reminded us that we were the greatest They reminded us that we had the latest They made up proud and they stirred up our hearts They said no force on earth could tear us apart CHORUS Where were you Where were you when the bode went down When all the heroes were outta town And we went house to house To see who was still standin’ Where were you Where were you when the main frames crashed When all the software turned to trash And we wondered what came next And how much more we’d owe them We stayed at home like we were on vacation The talk on the radio, the explinations We barbequed out in the midnight sun Thanked God that we were counted with the lucky ones The politicians re-invented the weather They reassured us we were stronger then ever They turned the switch on the Letterman Show I still don’t understand why you had to go … I felt so alone Needed you to be back home with your baby Wonderin’ how we’d ever put us back together Could we ever? I was goin outa my mind Watchin’ everything that we built unwind Thinkin’ how much we’d left unsaid Honey, where were you
