Former Elektra/Asylum solo artist James Sinclair has left a two decade trail of sophisticated pop music in his wake. The singer/songwriter degreed at the New England Conservatory of Music before embarking on a career that included major label deals, L.A. session gigs and tons of studio production. This is James' first album since the Elektra days and is a true labor of love. Self-produced over a three year period and featuring some of L.A.'s finest sidemen, you'll hear a rare level of maturity that relates to the music of Steely Dan, Sting and Al Jarreau. If you appreciate jazz influences, classic rock and great vocals, this one's for you!

Lyrics
You are leaning in a doorway And I see you first, I watch your face Surveying the lunchtime crowd You spot me now, a quick embrace We duck into a crowded café A tiny table separated By two inches from the next one Private space that’s designated You review the first half of your day And I reach past the sugar bowl The noise around us fades away I touch your hand, so in control The waiter skips us, lets us be Silent in mute conversation In this brief serenity I reflect how long I’ve been waiting CHORUS I must find a way to follow through Make these pictures dance inside of you I’ll be standing still until they do Now I push the top back on the roadster And we breathe in the cool night air Moonlight on the winding path To destination anywhere We pull off to a view point And I cut the engine, pull you close Hold you for an hour Tell you in my garden you’re the rose And we plan our perfect future In your hand I press a ring Then I wake up from this daydream And I brood and try to think I must take a chance tomorrow I must swing the pendulum, The few times we’ve brushed past each other You had no idea where I came from
