Psychedelic punky stuff from rural Scotland
Seminal (careful with that there word, boy) rural punk band from early 80s Galloway (Scotland), line-ups have come and gone over the years but we have tried to remain true to our ethos: "Four chords good, three chords best". As the available pool of contemporary local musical talent has gone into retirement the average age of the band has reduced. This year it is 28!

Story behind the song
The song was written as a ripost to an earlier number composed by Paul and Figgy, a punked-up ode to Garden Gnomes. I took the chords of the original (C-D-F-G) and reversed them (G-F-D-C), then took the concept of loveable garden gnomes and turned them into malevolent creatures intent on all sorts of depravity.
Lyrics
The fish are dying in the garden stream, There’s something dead in the water So if you go down to see the gnomes, Watch out my darling daughter Because innocence is dying Your daddy is corrupt Your mummy is a whore And you’re going to eat dirt The poison is tasteless but it still kills you If you don’t watch out you’ll drink it And if you die then the gnomes will too, You will see the truth but won’t think it Because innocence ... So don’t go down to the garden stream If you don’t want to know the facts; And don’t be surprised if you see dear God Coming after you with a shiny axe Because innocence ...
