Hard rock with a soft side as well.
Dogma's music is a blend of thundering drums, heavy guitar, pounding bass and the most talented vocalist in south Texas. The band has been playing in Alice bars and the neighboring towns for last 2 years with a collection of original and cover songs. Manny Ramirez (guitar) writes the music and Meme Guerra (vocals) translates the music into the most amazingly insightful lyrics.Rick Ortiz (drums) and Omar Trevino (bass) complete the ensemble as the solid rhythm section. The band's music ranges from thrashing to touching from invigorating to introspective.Always thought -provoking.
Story behind the song
A while back I wrote a song in open E tuning and I was just really inspired by the whole feel of the new chord voicings I was discovering. So I decided to write another song to explore the tuning further.
Lyrics
I feel soon, I will fall, unto you, on my own, forsee us turning, into one, melt this daydream, surface of the sun, it feels like, this is coming around, your too late, to hear the sound, a lighted candle, that burns for you all night, but why won't it shine on me, why won't it shine on me, let go, let it go, let, I saw you falling, you like the thrill, but in your heart so alone, nothings real, it feels like, this is coming around, your too late, to hear the sound, it feels this is coming around, your to late, to hear the sound, the sound, the sound, the sound
