This page is dedicated to RMMS (rec.music.makers.songwriting)song challenges. The concept is very simple. Everyone suggests one or more names for a song and the list is voted down until there is one winning title. Everyone then writes a song with that title. The results are amazing. There are so many variations and no two are alike. These songs are my entries. They are listed in order of writing and a recorded commentary introduces each one. These are simply done using various software tools along with a Washburn guitar and a Yamaha keyboard.

Lyrics
I went down to the city Walked around, feeling blue I had to find a reason To spend the night with you. When I held you in my arms I felt your pounding heart But the things you said were clear It tore our love apart. I came upon a doorway Leading to the dark side Neon flowed into my head Was this how our music died? Something made me walk away Your picture in my mind Could there be a spark of hope Or was I flying blind? (chorus) Bed and breakfast Seems like all I ever got Bed and breakfast Neither one was very hot. I went down to the city Walked around, feeling blue I had to find a reason To spend the night with you. When I held you in my arms I felt your pounding heart But the things you said were clear It tore our love apart. ( Musical break) Chorus 2x and fade
