Story behind the song
A simple memory will trigger a chain of similar memories attached to the same emotion....and I cry.
Lyrics
SOMETIMES (REGRETS) VERSE 1: Sitting in my blanket of insecurity I wonder how my conscious isn't sick of me Or how I've lasted this long with sanity in tact That preciously divides my fiction from the fact I can't help but question how I made it through it all The Lord just hand His hand on me Can't believe that I got up after every fall And when I think about it, you know HOOK Sometimes I cry My heart reflections tell no lies Sometimes I cry I feel so much has passed me by VERSE 2: Inside my world of “What if...”, I think what could have been If I had known my daddy instead of my mother's men Or if I'd save myself for the one who's be my wife Or sought the definition of what is truly life People say they don't regret the things that they've done I must be the exception of one 'Cuz there's many things I'd change if I could press rewind And when it consumes my mind. HOOK Sometimes I cry My heart reflections tell no lies Sometimes I cry I know so much has passed me by VERSE 3: Some things I can't remember Some I can't forget But through regrets I see it could be worse than this but you know.....
