Story behind the song
I wrote this song just to let out some old feelings that have been locked up inside me. It's actually a mixture of my feelings and maybe a little bit of Anne Frank's too...no joke...Hanneli was Anne's best friend. While reading her diary, a couple lines caught my eye. In it, Anne wrote, "Hanneli, Hanneli, if only I could take you away, if I could share everything with you. It's too late. I can't help or undo the wrong I've done. But I'll never forget her again and I'll always pray for her!" I took those feelings I had and expanded upon that quote and came up with this song.
