Story behind the song

I have been a member of an R&B-blues-funk-whatevah band called Blue Zinc now for almost 10 years, and this song is found in it's entirety on our 2nd CD entitled "Read Em In Weep", with this fretless bass solo on it (not this recording).

It comes across as somewhat of a folky number here because I didn't play to drums this time; I played rhythm guitar on a piazzo pick-up of an electric to give it that semi-acoustic tone.
