Story behind the song
This ballad holds a melody that I had had in my head for several years if you can believe it, and never really knew where/how to use it within the context of a real song as opposed to an instrumental. I never could fit it into anything, So I wrote Mermaid with it.  I've tried very hard to paint a certain picture with effects here. I usually like to play up close, but opted for the opposite this time around due to the subject matter. She soars through the water like the wah I used towards the end; so to speak. Anyway, I hope you can find quality in this ditty. Much thought and emotion went into the signature line; and I am quite relieved to FINALLY have this thing put to rest. I hope you enjoy her. Song was released July 18th, 2000.
