Story behind the song
This was my last Vince Guaraldi interpretation. This tune I find very moody in it's melodies; kind of sad which is interesting it being played in a major chord (usually your heaviest tear jerkers are in a minor) which I find unique. It's hard to believe that this is a Xmas song.  On the original, Vince used child vocalists "choir style" for the melody. This isn't terribly technical, but for it to succeed, this had to be played with ritards, sustained notes, lots of sliding and harmonies (ie: with feeling). Song was released on May 22th 2000.
