VOCALS: FRANKE - This is the second song I had ever written, the song was written about the many times I enjoyed hangin out in the Old Pink in Allentown.
L-I-T-T-L-E-M-A-N....SUCKS!!!
Littleman Sucks!
Story behind the song
The Old Pink, great atomosphere, great people and GREAT times! I miss that place but absolutly do not miss that city. This song was my estuary, the begining of my musical journey through life - this is where music started to truly invade my life in a way it had not since. Also interesting note, I was listening to world music a bit at the time and I just noticed the spanish influence in the bridge/breakdown...the background vox leave something to be desired, but oh well, good times and a great learning experience was had.
Lyrics
GUITAR/LEAD VOCALS: FRANKE
Opening:
It's Friday Night
And it seems as though everything will be alright
Settle in Old Pink
And I need something that will burn to drink
To wash away
All the mess the week has brought my way
Verse 1:
A few drinks in this room can seem to make my troubles melt away
Dark corner of my mind as I behold her dim light shine
One look can't help but be startled by all that I perceive
Glance over her way and what I'll say I must conceive
I sit I know I know I cannot ride the pine
Agitation race away with every step that I've left behind
Chorus:
Seems like a long time but like and old friend, I've return, whoa yeah
The music plays as speak my first words to her
It doesn't matter what this means, we have here and now
In the dark I can see here eyes, how the green light shine, ahhh yeah
Verse 2:
Tonight you seem so perfect you’re so perfect here with me
We'll just have some fun for now and maybe see
Where this night will lead
Her smiles what burns so bright it's like an image I beseech
Determined to make you laugh your beauty again will repeat
Her eyes are what burn so bright they're like those weapons that could wound
For tomorrow haunts me to think I'll never behold thee anew
Chorus:
(Repeat)
Bridge:
Verse (Outro):
Oh yeah,
Oh yeah,
Oh yeah!
