GUITAR/FRANKE - I wrote the chorus riff a long time ago and my guitar decided to write a new verse to it and it sounded kinda stones'ish, so our drummer thought, so it was dubbed...
When you have one too many for the road, you wind up with 1-4 the Ditch...
Story behind the song
James wrote most of the lyrics on this one, there are a few lines where we put our heads together, but this was mostly his doing.
Cool story behind the last set of lyrics starting with 'Candid' in the last verse - James was looking through a dictionary and looked up the work Frank - my name - and it listed all of the following words to the end of the verse, all of which he felt describe me. I have an always will think that is very cool, the way he wrote them and the words he used to describe me - dammit I am blushing gotta go ;-)
Lyrics
BASS/LEAD VOCALS: JAMES
GUITAR/BACKUP VOCALS: FRANKE
Verse 1:
Can't remember if I shot him dead
Or has he just left and gone
All for not words inside my head
Everything's alright now
To do away with or destroy
Bad habits that I once had
State is free now is redefined
Teacher's lessons convaluted mind
Chorus:
Words can mean alot
If you let them
(yeah, yeah, yeah - background)
Don't constrain your thought
Take a deep breath just forget them
(yeah, yeah, yeah - background)
When we only see what's right
We may wind up wrong
(yeah, yeah, yeah - background)
????
Blinded by false illusions all along
(yeah, yeah, yeah - background)
Verse 2:
Abstract and strange thoughts inside my head
Will I ever make them make sense
Some things I've done I remember not
So what and who am I
Candid, open and genuine
Freely giving, generously
Law free, privlaged and ???
Unhindered in action
Chorus:
(Repeat)
(Brief Stop - Guitar Solo)
Chorus:
(Repeat)
