VOCALS: FRANKE - This time I was with my brother James we had tipped a few and this chord progression again just jumped out of my guitar...hence another great drinking song, bottoms up, CHEERS!
When you have one too many for the road, you wind up with 1-4 the Ditch...
Story behind the song
James and I often had fun just sitting around playing guitar and tipping a few back...so this chord progession jumped out of my guitar one night while we were just playing around - as I look back on it, it was actually similar to the progession of a butthole surfers song (who I am huge fans of) and I now realize that. The vocals should not have been as screamy for this song, I will take the blame, it would have been much better. The lyrics are just about having a good time at the bar with friends, nothing too revolutionary.
Lyrics
GUITAR/LEAD VOCALS: FRANKE
BASS/BACKUP VOCALS: JAMES
Verse 1:
Don't know I found the way
But I'll save another day
It's alright
Mixed up taught what to say
We're all wrong
Inbibe and we're gone!
Chorus:
Waiting all along just bidding time
(Run away - background)
Never know, never asked I just fell in line
(Run away - background)
Inbibe, unwind and I feel alright
(Run away - background)
Another downed, problems drowned and I'm fine
(Run away - background)
I'm Alright, I'm Alright, I'm Alright, yeah yeah.
Verse 2:
Now we're all here tonight
We're OK nothing wrong yeah we're alright
Dimes go up beers go down
I'm OK till I hit the ground
Chorus:
(Repeat)
Bridge:
Run away, run away, run away
Run away, run away, run away
Chorus:
(Repeat)
