Blue Sound Traffic is a band from Funchal (Madeira Island), which started playing in 1994 as Drawned In Tears. The band sounds as a mixture between several styles, metal and non-metal.Many different words were used to describe this band by the listeners in general,from gothic doom (specially in the early days) to modern gothic metal to “this guys are not metal at all” which only proves that BLUE SOUND TRAFFIC has achieved their first goal,to have their own personality. Melody has indeed a big part on the songs,but lets not forget that this are guys that grew up with the death metal and early English doom metal scene,so the melody is backed with heavy riffing which helps the songs to grow instantly in ones ears.
