Story behind the song
"Losbruellen" is a German word that means "(to start) screaming". This song is part of a trilogy of music that originally was intended to be about a submarine that had been lost at sea. As music evolves and changes, so did "Losbruellen" and it evolved into a snapshot of domestic violence and the legacy of abuse.
Lyrics
Bruises on a broken face, shattered glass and broken plates Portraits smashed and left askew, the happy home in sharp decay Fear poisoned tears dripping down Our family man in hateful rage There should never be a time to start screaming The disconnected feeling, with liquor stress breaks the back The innocents are victims, the mirror of his suffered youth Cries of protest sounding out The endless cycle of abuse There should never be a time to start But if he saw his reflection, he would see the frightened child Who 30 years ago witnessed his own maker going wild It would only take a second to notice what he's done The cruel inheritance from a father to his son
