Hi! This is Charlie B., singer, songwriter, and guitar player for the band Freudian Press. I now play in the band The Sage Experiment. We play the Freudian Press catalog, and more! You can follow me at http://www.facebook.com/sageexperiment Freudian Press started in 1994, performing regularly for audiences in the midwest. The band has gone through a number of line-up changes over the years, and has gone from an acoustic-only band with two hand percussionists to an all-electric band with a set drummer.... all the while featuring both classic rock covers and my original songs. I am a self-taught musician, thus the reason for my playing a right-handed guitar upside-down, as a lefty. I have written and performed more than 50 original songs to date. I am also a published poet, and design and draw posters for Press shows. With a catalog of over 100 cover songs in addition to my original compositions, I'm never lacking material, and have performed in Freudian Press shows that lasted in excess of 5 hours. I am currently still writing, and recording sessions are in the works. The live songs presented on this site were all recording using a hand-held camcorder, and the studio songs were recorded in small home studios or in makeshift basement setups.

Lyrics
Ol' brother it's good to see you around Heard you headed down to Memphis when that circus came to town Hope you found 'em, all the things you're looking for It was good to see that smile when I opened up the door Old Country Soul, where you run to? Where you run to when you're cold and weeping? Old Country Soul, who's your angel? Who watches over when you're sleeping? So tell me 'bout the things that you found Did you find yourself with Jesus or with the soul of a clown Did you travel through the forests of today Or did you wander through the prairies overgrown with yesterday Old Country Soul, where you run to? Where you run to when you're cold and weeping? Old Country Soul, who's your angel? Who watches over when you're sleeping? Can't you feel it? The lovers' light is all around, encompassing the sky and ground Can't you feel it? Walk with me, my friends, brothers, sisters 'til the end Walk with me, my friends, 'til the end Ole' brother can't you hear what I say Aren't you seein' that this life we live gets better everyday Hey now brother I can see that you're down Why don't you buy yourself a ticket, I heard that circus came around Old Country Soul, where you run to? Where you run to when you're cold and weeping? Old Country Soul, who's your angel? Who watches over when you're sleeping? Can't you feel it? The lovers' light is all around, encompassing the sky and ground Can't you feel it? Walk with me, my friends, brothers, sisters 'til the end Walk with me, my friends, 'til the end Where are you going? Go with the light! I know all you see is darkness my friend Try and open your eyes! Old brother, it's good to see you again And you know this door is open, always open for a friend Now you're leaving, but I know it won't be long 'Til you find your peace of mind, and find your light, it burns so strong Old Country Soul, where you run to? Where you run to when you're cold and weeping? Old Country Soul, who's your angel? Who watches over when you're sleeping? Can't you feel it? The lovers' light is all around, encompassing the sky and ground Can't you feel it? Walk with me, my friends, brothers, sisters 'til the end Walk with me, my friends, 'til the end
