Strawberry Moon ©dave lenahan/tim skeen 5/2003 My Chevy shone like silver under summer's first full moon. The one they call strawberry when it shows its face in June. We were 18 with the seats laid back In our favorite parking spot. We knew a little 'bout love But, we wanted to know alot. (chorus) Strawberry moon Make my dreams come true. How did you know just what to do? You only had to set the mood. My sweet strawberry moon. The motor wasn't running but, you could really feel the heat. With radio soft and low. We just moved to the beat. Still can see her auburn hair And, smell that sweet perfume. When I let my mind drift back to that old strawberry moon. (chorus) (birdge) The first full moon of summer does something to your soul. And, I carry it with me now everywhere I go. Driving home from work one bright June summer day. Saw a girl with auburn hair in a pure white Chevrolet. All at once I'm 18 and althought the skies are blue. Its not the sun that's beatin' down. Its a full strawberry moon.
