Story behind the song
I searched for a dear friend of mine who had saw me through the toughest times of my life. I found out she had moved becuase I went there one weekend like I usually do with my daughter and she was not there. I began to ask around to the few people that I knew in the city. They didn't know are had half trues. When I got to work one morning I had a voicemail messgage on my phone from my friend in washington dc and she said I heard that your friend had passed and I am sorry to hear that. I fell to the floor crying. hour later I called my home town to one of the church mothers and asked her did you remember my friend, I called her by name, she said no but my daughter is on her way to a funeral up in venice a friend of hers sister died, it happen to be my friend. I ran out the door and got to the church right before the casket was closing for the service to start. I broke down as I began to walk down the isle and came closer to her casket. she looked like the angel that she was. You see she gave me my first job when I was 15 in the Mayors office and it opened many many doors for me I dedicated my cd release in 2004 to her and her memory
