Inspired by artist like Mase and the late great Notorious BIG, Marcus began writing his own lyrics and began his development into one of Palm Beach County’s premier lyricist. In 2000, he began deejaying local house parties throughout the PBC with high school friends, Joel Gomberg and John Temerian (founder of AllOutExotics.com). Building a name for themselves they became the foremost deejays and gained a local following of teenagers unlike any other. With there creditability in tact and there showmanship unquestionable, Marcus began to produce his own music and expand his knowledge of the game by venturing into rock, reggae, and funk music. Taking his talent to new heights in 2001, Marcus did a track with local funk band, Aventura in which he spit a crucial freestyle that would stem the creation of his next project. Now owning the local deejay market and producing for Hip Hop artist throughout South Florida, Marcus decided to build his own studio in his parent’s living room and create his own entertainment company163 Entertainment. He hit the mic again, blending his unique melodic jazz voice with his deeply inspired underground lyrics in 2002, when he recorded his first demo titled, “Tha N’ DeCent X-poser EP”. He later connected with film student Matt Vigil to produce the video for the demos single, “Poolshark (Welcome to tha J)” Dubbed Jupiter, Florida’s illest rhymeshayer by way of his numerous battle victories and his constant representation of the suburban town, his fans and friends affectionately began calling him JTown Cin (JTown for Jupiter, and Cin being short for his middle name). Fine-tuning his production and lyrical skills, he moved to Oakland, PA in search of expanding his mind at the University of Pittsburgh. His rash lyrics and style reminiscent to that of today’s Neo-soul artist and old school Hip Hop innovators are unmatched due to the influence of southern Hip Hop artist such as Scarface and Outkast. After his victory in Pittsburgh at the Sprite Liquid Mix Tour’s freestyle battle, he took the jump from suburban MC to full truth. With the support of his parents, friends, and family, Marcus believes he is truly a miracle. 163Entertainment.com
