Story behind the song
The story behind this... well, I've been forced to go to Church ever since I was a kid. I'm sure most of you were. I always felt out of place at church, mainly because the "elders" would get mad at me when ever I asked questions. I got tired of the church oppressing my thoughts and feelings. I tried to visit different churches, but my mom almost cut me because her church is "suppose to be" the only "correct" church in California. And what most ticks me off, is they always kept preaching "For he who believes un-to the Lord, shall have ever lasting eternal life" (that's some bible verse, I can't remember which one) Then, they would come out and say that you gotta do all this extra stuff, or you'd be thrown in the Lake of fire.... Which is it? I eventually got tired and stoppoed going to church. I decided that Spirituality would lead me down a much more ritcheous path than a cultish religious group. Which brings me to this song. This is my way of presenting my view, and my understanding with God to the rest of the world.... I hope everyone who listens to it is enlightened to some degree.
