Something I wrote for my wife when we got married. This version is actually the instrumental with backing vocals, as it seems to stand up better than the original, sung, version.

“mistrust” is Tim Blackburn from the UK. I’m an unsigned remixer and music-maker.I’ve recently done official remixes for Pitch Black (“Rude Mechanicals”), Animat (“Deep Space Lament”), International Observer (“Popcorn Slavery”), and Humanizer (“The Manifesto is over”). I was really pleased at getting the one for Popcorn Slavery, as International Observer is the current project of one of my musical heroes, Tom Bailey (formerly of 80s band Thompson Twins!). It’s only in the last few years that I’ve made has made any of my music public, and the reaction to it has been overwhelmingly positive. My first release came on the Nishi netlabel, which led to some of my songs being used by O’Neill (the surfing gear company) for a worldwide promotion campaign. It was a passing remark by Big Chill artist and DJ The Only Michael that put me in touch with Pitch Black, the New Zealand dub/electronic band which resulted in my first real attempt at remixing someone else’s songs. My inclusion on the Rude Mechanicals EP in late 2008 was my biggest break in the music world to-date, and has since led to other remixing opportunities and releases.

Story behind the song
This track isn't really typical of the sort of stuff I'm doing at the moment. It's just something I wrote for my wife when we got married. This version is actually the instrumental with backing vocals, as it seems to stand up better than the original, sung, version. The main riff is played on an MDA Piano.Recorded using Cubasis 4.0 and various VST instruments and fx.If you like this, have a listen to my other tracks, Never Alone and I Travel. They're more in keeping with my usual stuff!!! The track was previously only available on Electromancer.com, and is now part of my back-catalogue.
