Alan Lowe (Singer/Songwriter) based in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia.
I was born into a musical family with both parents playing in a local dance band. My father played drums and trumpet, never together though, and my mother, played Guitar, Piano, Accordian, Harmonica and the list went on. I have been writing songs for as long as I can remember and in my late teens after signing up for 10 years with the Australian Army I met up with mates Brad and Dick who inspired me to pursue my writing further. I have many and varied musical influences with the Eagles and Neil Diamond at the top of my list. I write songs. Some folk think I do ok, while others are probably too kind to tell me what they really think, but no matter what I still love writing songs and producing demos. Who knows, perhaps one day, someone with a half decent voice will record another one of my songs. It's an honour to have you give a listen and please let me know what you think? Regards, Alan.

Lyrics
Available on the album "The Military Years" 1st Verse: How can I sleep when she's not here with me All I do is dream and hope that maybe she will see So why do I waste my time Begging her to change her mind I can't leave the past behind And true love is too hard to find Chorus: Because I love that girl and every thing about her Love that girl, she was my inspiration Now that she's gone My life has no meaning at all 2nd Verse: I call her on the phone hoping she will see the light But all I get is no and it leaves me thinking maybe she's right So why do I waste my time Begging her to change her mind I can't leave the past behind And true love is too hard to find Chorus: Because I love that girl and every thing about her Love that girl, she was my inspiration Now that she's gone My life has no meaning at all 3rd Verse: The time that we spent to her is not worth a cent And I feel such a fool I'll end up doing something I'll regret So why do I waste my time Begging her to change her mind I can't leave the past behind And true love is too hard to find Chorus: Because I love that girl and every thing about her Love that girl, she was my inspiration Now that she's gone My life has no meaning at all Love That Girl Love That Girl Love That Girl (Fade Out)
