Story behind the song
This song was written years ago in Germany while thinking about what was left behind.
Lyrics
There's a cold wind a blowin' Blowin' 'cross my mind And there's no way of knowin' If I can stop myself in time Where the green grass is growin' And a man can be alone And the seasons are flowing Showing me the way back home Wish I was a ridin' on a one way train tonight Ridin' on the rythm of the rails fadin' out of sight Ridin' first class on the Albuquerque Santa Fe line Haven't been home in a long, long time Rocky Mountain Railway, yeah Rocky Mountain Railway Rocky Mountain Railway, yeah Rocky Mountain Railway Seven sixty-seven comin' out of the morning rain Brought me here a year ago and taking me back home again Tomorrow afternoon at mountain standard time I'll be a hundred feet above timberline
