How I feel about living in the south
StudioMac Sounds is me, Mitch Townley. I am a Children's Pastor from Knoxville, TN. I have been writing seriously since 2003. It has become a wonderful hobby and a way to let my daughter Kristen (20) do some recording with her wonderful voice. I hope you enjoy my collection of Christian, country and comedy songs. Thanks to my many friends who have written the music for, played instruments on, and sung on these cuts.

Lyrics
Mason-Dixon Line Mitch Townley/Paul Buckles © 2004 Lived in a dozen small towns before I turned eighteen Grew up packin’ boxes, u-hauls, and memories And while my roots are in the northeast I ‘ve had a southern state of mind Since the day that I drove southbound And crossed the Mason-Dixon line (chorus) There’s just somethin’ ‘bout the folks there The sound of a southern drawl Horses runnin’ through the bluegrass The Smoky Mountains in the fall Strangers wavin’ at you Sayin’ “Sit down for a spell” Drivin’ down a delta back road Drinkin’ water from a well I’m sure feelin’ fine South of the Mason-Dixon line Got friends in Pennsylvania , folks in Ohio But Tennessee’s the place for me, It feel’s just like home Love to hear those front porch fiddles Whistlin’ as I walk in the pines My watch is set on southern time When I cross the Mason-Dixon line (repeat chorus) (bridge) My northern friends say that I’m changin’ Say I’m talkin kinda’ slow Don’t reckon I know what they’re talking about But I want cha’ll to know (repeat chorus) (tag) ¥ou’ll be feeling fine Just across the Mason-Dixon line
