Story behind the song
One of those 3:00 a.m. drifting-off-to-sleep flashes of inspiration that make you go "Aw crap, I gotta write this down or I'll never remember it in the morning". I'm certainly not the first one to express this song's main idea, but it's still a fun and meaningful tune. The country/folk twang comes from my John Prine influence. Some of my cleverest rhymes pop up in here. Enjoy!
