Lyrics
The house next to the road stands the daily traffic with pride, Trucks pass by and shake the windows, It’s rending deep inside, The morning and awakening float above the bed entwined, While memories inside my head call my heart to step aside. I’d move on but I’m stuck in here in dirt, the roof is leaking, Coldness eating up my face though I’ve sure turned on the heating, I’d close my eyes to rhyme some lies but they’re caught up by the ceiling, The truth’s crying out of my heart and turns into a feeling. Nothing really matters any more; everything’s just an illusion, I had let you go and there’s nothing more to do, But I know that I’m in love with you! The house next to the road stands the daily rain no more, The lonely raindrops like saltless tears are knocking on the door, I turned around my back to you knowing what it’s all for, That clear picture in my head showing me to my goal! Soon I’ll dance and meditate tightly hugging heated stones, With the old man of the vision with his beard around my bones, If there’s an answer to the question sung to me with cheated tones, I’ll sing a song to you with pride about a house by the road!
